Country Tags
I am so happy to participate in this new Challenge Blog called Retro Rubber Challenge.
Here is the link - Retro Rubber Challenge
This week we are to use our first stamp. My first stamp set was a set by Inkadinkado, which I purchased in about 1985 at Faneuil Hall Market Place in Boston, Massachusetts.
In those days I was selling sewn articles in a number of consignment stores. The products were baby bib/burp pad sets, country items, baby quilts, Christmas Tree skirts, and bridal items like padded photo albums, lace handkerchiefs, garters, etc. So, I wanted to make my own price tags.
This is an example of the tags. I had only blue ink so all my tags were blue.
I still have the stamp set; it is:

Vintage for The Paper Players
Follow the link to play at The Paper Players
This is a stamp by Magenta. I bought it at a stamp show about 3 years ago and it was still in its original package this morning, I never used it because I am a Stampin' Up! demo. However, I just love stamps, so I buy when I see something I like, no matter what the company. I decided to crack it open today for this vintage challenge.
Another interesting thing is that I once took a colored pencil coloring class with Nathalie Metivier, a designer for Magenta! Very exciting and an amazing class.
Here is my card:
The ink and the cardstock base is Stampin' Up! Soft Suede. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Good Greetings. It is never too early to prepare for the New Year!
The Friday Mashup
Follow the link The Friday Mashup to play.
Create a "Box Project".
Create a project with a "Thanksgiving or Thankful Theme".
or Mash it Up! and create a "Thanksgiving- or Thankful-Themed Box".
I just love this challenge because I love to mash it up and it always gets me thinking. I remembered an origami box that I learned to make a few years ago and tried two versions of it for this challenge.
This one uses a 12 X 12 piece of Color Me Autumn from Stampin' Up! The "Thankful" is from the retired Expressions Thinlits. (Candy leftovers from Halloween!)
This is the same origami box but with a top on it, This is a retired DSP called Orchard Harvest.
