The Paper Players 184

Check out what The Paper Players have in store for us this week...a sketch challenge.

Here is my card using Sahara Sand Card Stock and Ink.

The funny thing about how this card came together is that I had no idea what I was going to do when I sat down to stamp tonight.  I went over to the "bone pile" which is where I place things that have been stamped, but never found their way to a card.  I found this "Hardwood" image on top of the pile and, when I looked at it horizontally, it reminded me of The Paper Players sketch this week.

So, I added some ribbon and a Yippee-Skippee! and I was done (and it was fun).

Freshly Made Sketches 124

Today I made a card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  What I have been trying to do in 2014 is to stamp more than last year and blog more than last year.  My plan s to improve my abilities and the best way to stamp more is to participate in challenges whenever you can.

So this is my first submission to freshly Made Sketches.  This is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I used Watercolor Wonder DSP and I just love the graduated colors on this DSP.  If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing something wonderful.

The base card stock is Naturals Ivory (my favorite) and the image is also stamped on Naturals Ivory. The next layer is Island Indigo.  The ribbon is a remnant from last year's Sale-A-Bration.

A Simple Card

Today's post is a card that is the simplest of cards to make, because this design is all about the paper.

This design is stamped in Island Indigo on Watercolor Wonder DSP.  The Star stamp is from the December Paper Pumpkin Kit, but you can always use the stars from the Merry Minis (retired).
You could also substitute the small heart from Kind and Cozy.
