Another Peek at a Catalog Sample

Today's case of a card sample from the new catalog is from page 107.  I never CASE exactly, as you have seen, so the difference in this case is that I substituted two In Colors, Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow.  I also substituted Crumb Cake card stock and Retro Fresh Washi Tape.  I am still waiting for new product, just as you all are!

I did use of the Gifts of Kindness stamp set.  Here is my card:

New In Colors (part 2)

As I explained yesterday, each year, when Stampin' Up! releases the new catalog, they also introduce five new ink/paper colors that are called "In Colors".  This year the five new In Colors are:

Blackberry Bliss
Hello Honey
Lost Lagoon
Mossy Meadow
and
Tangelo Twist

For my card yesterday, I used an acrylic stamping block and applied a little of all the inks to the block by tapping the pad directly to the block, using the lighter colors first and ending with the darkest.  Then I spritzed the block with a little water and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.

I promised yesterday that I would show you two more versions of this technique on my post today. As it turns out, I have only one other sample to share.  I had to trash the second one because I did not let the ink/water spritzed background dry enough before I heat embossed.  The embossing powder stuck to the wet spots on the card stock.  So if you want to try this technique, make sure to dry the ink completely before embossing.

Here is my second sample:

The New In Colors

Each year, when Stampin' Up! releases the new catalog, they also introduce five new ink/paper colors that are called "In Colors".  This year the five new In Colors are:

Blackberry Bliss
Hello Honey
Lost Lagoon
Mossy Meadow
and
Tangelo Twist
When I was creating my card for today's post, I didn't know which new color I would showcase.  So...I decided to use them all.

I used an acrylic stamping block and applied a little of all the inks to the block by tapping the pad directly to the block, using the lighter colors first and ending with the darkest.  Then I spritzed the block wit a little water and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.

I then heat embossed a sentiment , added ribbon and voila, My card for today:

I also stamped two other background using this technique.  They are still drying right now, so I will finish them up later and show them to you tomorrow.

PPA205

This is my second Father's Day Card in a row.  I love having my holiday cards done early, don't you?  My blog yesterday was a card for my brother.  Today, my card is for my Dad.

I went with traditional "browns" for Father's Day; Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake card stock and ink.  The sentiment is from this month's Paper Pumpkin.  The DSP is from the retiring Fresh Prints Paper Stack.  The stamped image is from Lovely as a Tree.  The background stamp is Hardwood.
