Oh Baby Regatta

The Friday Mashup is a fun challenge.  Follow the link to see this week's one layer nautical theme card.

Here is my card:

All products are Stampin' Up!

This week has been my week for baby boy cards; two in a row now.  It is always good to have a variety of cards on hand for friend and family occasions.

This is a one layer card with a baby nautical theme.  The boat image is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Moving forward.  Because this challenge is a one layer card, I couldn't wrap the twine around a layer and fasten on the back.  Instead, I made tiny slits in the corners of the card and pulled the twine trough to the back.  To make the twine lay flat I put some Tombo on my thumb and index finger and pulled the twine through my fingers a few times so that it had a very light coating of the glue.  Then I was able to place the twine down on the card and it stayed in place.

The pennants image is from a Sale-A-Bration set, available free with a $50 purchase, until March 31st.

  1. The way you have placed the banners and twine is so fun, I love it! Such a great theme for a baby boy card!

Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Friday Mashup!

  2. I love how you added the banners to your card, and the creative way to dealt with the twine. Thanks for joining the Friday Mashup this week!

  3. Oh, this is so sweet! I love that you took the nautical theme and made it for baby :) Love the little bows at the end of the twine. Thanks for sharing with us at The Friday Mashup this week!
