A Bag with Two Tags PPA 197
Thursday is here; it's time for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge and this week it is a sketch:
I need a little gift bag for a birthday gift this week, so I decided to use this week's sketch to create my bag. It is a bag that measures 3" X 5" not including the handles. The tags are removable and can be used as gift tags or bookmarks. This wonderful DSP is called Etcetera. As you can see, this project is all about the paper. The only stamping is the sentiment; all the other images are cut from this beautiful paper.

My colors are Melon Mambo and Whisper White. I used various images from Daydream Medallions stamp set and dies cuts from the Floral Frames Framelits. I also used the Edgelits Adorning Accents for the right side of the card front edge. I lines the inside of the card with Whisper White cut 4.25" X 5.5" (the same size as the card front) to show off the fancy edge.

Oh Baby Regatta

This week has been my week for baby boy cards; two in a row now. It is always good to have a variety of cards on hand for friend and family occasions.
This is a one layer card with a baby nautical theme. The boat image is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Moving forward. Because this challenge is a one layer card, I couldn't wrap the twine around a layer and fasten on the back. Instead, I made tiny slits in the corners of the card and pulled the twine trough to the back. To make the twine lay flat I put some Tombo on my thumb and index finger and pulled the twine through my fingers a few times so that it had a very light coating of the glue. Then I was able to place the twine down on the card and it stayed in place.
