When I got back to my craft room, I found that The Paper Players (follow the link) have a Fall theme challenge.
Perfect challenge for a perfect Fall day!
I used Sahara Sand and Color me Autumn ingredients for this project. The stamp set is For All Things. All products are listed below.
The votives and matches idea is something I learned from Sam Donald at Pootles
I love to burn candles, but I don't do it in the summer because it is too hot. I read somewhere that a burning candle can raise the temperature of a room by one degree. Now that Fall is here, I brought out the candles and matches.
You may notice that I do not have the exclamation point on the end of the sentiment "Hello Fall"
That's because I chopped it off! Try as I might, I could not get the image to stamp so that the exclamation point looked like an exclamation point (and not an additional "L"). So, as I have said before, don't be afraid to alter any of your stamps to make them work for you .
The exclamation point is gone and I am happy !
What an awesome card and the match box and candles make it sweet.
ReplyDeleteLove your fall card with co-ordinating accessories! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!

ReplyDeleteWonderfull fall card Diane and I like the accessories. There's something so cozy about having candles burning on a cool fall evening. Thanks for the tip about chopping of the exclamation point, I felt the same way, so now I know what to do.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I love the matching candles and matchbook. It would make a great gift!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous set. I love the use of the DSP to cover the candles and the match box. I also love the repetition of the acorns on the top and bottom of your card. Thanks for sharing these fabulous projects with us at the Paper Players this week
