More Recycling

This is for a challenge at The Paper Players.  In honor of National Earth Month, the challenge is to use a recycled or re-purposed item on your projects. http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2013/04/theres-still-time-to-play-in-challenge_10.html

Can you identify my recycled item?  It is the black netting on the witch's party dress.  That netting was the outside wrapper on our Easter Ham!

The netting reminded me of the netting overlay on 50's style Cocktail Dresses.  I pictured an Audrey Hepburn style ensemble with the netting over a Silver Glimmer paper dress, but I just couldn't get it  quite right.

The netting also reminded me of fishnet stockings and a witch costume so I switched to that idea and and this is where I ended up.  I couldn't do stockings, so I did a netting overlay on the dress.  And how about that Bat belt?  Batman would be proud!

Products are: Stampin' Up Tangerine Tango and Basic Black card stock, Modern Label Punch, Bat Punch (retired), Spider Web Embossing Folder, Wicked Cool and All Dressed Up Stamp Sets, and Dress Up Framelits.

  1. What a creative way to use something that otherwise would have been thrown in the trash! I love the netting over the dress. Thanks for joining us at the Paper Players this week!
