Retiring Products Mashup

The challenge this week is:

Create a project using "Stencils".
Create a project with a "Retiring Stamp".
Or Mash it up and create a project with " a Stencil and a Retiring Stamp".

I happened to have an old stencil around so I used that with retiring in colors Midnight Muse and Primrose Petals.  The card stock is Very Vanilla and retiring Midnight Muse and Primrose Petals again.  The sentiment is from the retiring Hostess Set "Express Yourself".  The ribbon is the retiring Crochet Trim.

Retro Fresh

Today I am working with  a new Designer Series Paper called Retro Fresh from the new catalog.

The Retro Fresh is a very colorful collection, but I focused on the Tangerine Tango.  I seem to like monochromatic cards.

I actually used three different stamp sets today; Papillon Potpourri, Yippee-Skippee and Gifts of Kindness.

I have been stamping for a while now, so I have access to multiple supplies, which is why I pull from different sets..  However, if you are new to stamping and building up your supplies, you might want to consider the Gifts of Kindness set.

The Gifts of Kindness is a good set to purchase because you have multiple sentiments in the set.  You could  use just the one setand this design to create a Thank You card or a Thinking of You card, or a Happy Birthday card.  You could even make all three!

Good-by 2013 and Hello 2014

Happy New Year.  Today begins 2014.  December was so busy for me this year I have  photos of cards that I never published, so I thought I would say good-by to 2013 by sharing some of the projects that I never posted.

Here is an Anniversary Card for my son and daughter-in-law's 11th anniversary on December 2.

This stamp set is Joyful Christmas.


Here is a Birthday card for my friend Joyce who celebrated on December 18th.

The stamp set is Giggle Greetings  and the DSP is Birthday Basics.

These little cocoa packets were cased from Dawn Olchefske  in a project she made last year with the stamp set Scentsational Season.  Here is the link to her video of this project:

PPA 178 Color Challenge

Are you all set for a color challenge this week?

Pals Paper Arts is challenging you to use Summer Starfruit, Crisp Cantaloupe and Early Espresso in a project this week.  Hint:  If you happen to have Stampin' Up!'s DSP "Soho Subway" the possibilities are endless.  Here is my card:

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Best of greetings Stamp Set.  The strip of Crisp Cantaloupe is embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and embellished with two Early Espresso Candy Dots. The lower right corner is embellished with an In Color Boutique Detail in Crisp Cantaloupe.

CAS Masculine

This is my submission for the Paper Players Clean and Simple (CAS) Masculine challenge.

I used Stampin' Up!'s Epic Day This and That  DSP and the coordinating Epic Day stickers. The "ticket" is cut out of Epic Day DSP.  The cardstock is SU Gumball Green.  The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in Basic Gray.

PPA 129

This is basically the card on page 167 of the Idea Book and Catalog.  It reminded me of the sketch challenge.  I used Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Confetti Cream card stock.  I sponged the Crumb Cake card edge with Old Olive.  The DSP is Everyday Enchantment from the Sale-a-bration catalog.

I stamped the hearts from the I {Heart} Hearts set with Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Regal Rose.   The sentiment is from A Word for You Stamp set.

The image isn't very clear; I used my husband's Ipad.  I need a new camera.
